Degreaser Heavy Duty is an all-purpose oil and grease remover, ideal for use on decks and in engine rooms. It is particularly effective for removing oil and grease from machinery parts, tank tops, bulkheads, decks, and floor plates, and is especially suitable for tank cleaning. It is also used for cleaning cargo and bunker tanks, as well as for spot cleaning.

Tank Cleaning via Spraying: Apply Degreaser Heavy Duty at a concentration of 2-6% using a sprayer. Let the product soak into the surface deposits for 20 minutes, then wash it down with high-pressure water. While the product can be used with cold water, using temperatures up to 60oC yields better results. Do not exceed 60oC.

Tank Cleaning via Recirculation: Prepare a 2-6% solution of Degreaser Heavy Duty in water. Heating the solution to 60oC enhances cleaning effectiveness, but avoid exceeding this temperature.

Soaking: Submerge parts to be cleaned in undiluted Degreaser Heavy Duty, allowing the deposits to break down and loosen. Rinse thoroughly with water. A chemical cleaning module may be used to recirculate the product. Higher temperatures (up to 60oC, but not exceeding it) improve the cleaning power.

Spraying: Apply the product neat and allow it to penetrate the deposits for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with water. For more stubborn deposits, brushing may be required. Prewashing with hot water at approximately 60°C prior to spraying can enhance results.

Cooling Systems: Fill the cooling system with a Degreaser Heavy Duty and water emulsion at a concentration of 5-10%, depending on contamination levels. Allow the emulsion to circulate for 12-24 hours at a maximum temperature of 60oC. Afterward, drain the cleaning liquid and rinse the system thoroughly until the outlet water is clear. Follow up by adding cooling water treatment to the system.

Note: In some cases, rinsing may not be necessary, and cleaned surfaces can be wiped down or left to dry.

The product is compatible with all normally used metals and their alloys. Rubber/synthetic rubber may swell.
