DESCRIPTION
Autoplex is a premium boiler water treatment additive, for the maximum protection of the boiler systems. The protection is achieved by coupling phosphate treatment with new polymer technology. Autoplex comprises all scale and corrosion inhibitors, sludge conditioners, alkaline and amine components necessary for the protection of the boiler systems.
By using the advanced technology that Autoplex offers, the user may show more tolerance for feedwater quality fluctuations. Thanks to its polymers, the precipitates are kept soft, non-adherent and are easily removed through blowdown. Iron is also kept dispersed. Its highly alkaline formula protects from low-pH corrosion in the after-boiler section.
Always combine Autoplex with Oxyplex oxygen scavenger and corrosion inhibitor, to obtain the most modern, safe and effective boiler water treatment program.
APPLICATION
Autoplex may be applied to any boiler up to 30 bar.
Autoplex must be always used in combination with an oxygen scavenger, preferably Oxyplex, but OxyControl HZ is also acceptable.
Only use with good quality feed water. Use Autoplex according to the treatment programme that New Age Chemicals has suggested. New Age Chemicals marine specialists are always available for any further technical assistance required.
USE AND DOSING
Autoplex can be continuously dosed with a dosing unit or by-pass pot feeder to the feedwater line downstream of the feedwater recirculation offtake. If a gravity feed flowmeter is implemented, dosage should take place to the hotwell or cascade tank.
Autoplex should be diluted with distilled water or condensate in the dosage tank and dosed continuously all day long, meeting with system demands. Dosage should be at least 1.2 litres per ton of boiler capacity, so that P-Alkalinity should be 100 ppm. Initial system treatment should start with 200 ppm of P-Alkalinity, which is 2.4 litres of Autoplex per ton of boiler capacity. Chlorides should not exceed 200 ppm and the pH of the condensate should fall between 8.3 and 9.0. These are recommended values, always follow manufacturers specifications.
Use Autoplex every day to adjust treatment level. Always test sample from the same sampling point after blowdown. Cool sample down and test immediately.
