Sodium Hypochlorite Potable Grade can chlorinate and control bacterial growth in drinking water, swimming pools, spas, grey water, and black water.

Instructions are based on experience and are meant only as a guide since circumstances for each chlorination process vary. They are not intended to interfere with the judgment of the vessel’s responsible personnel.

Sodium Hypochlorite Potable Grade can be directly applied to the water system at any point where there is sufficient time and turbulence to ensure proper dissolution. The product should be applied and controlled to achieve the desired free chlorine residual, which varies depending on the specific system. Each system has a unique chlorine demand that must be met before a free chlorine residual is established. This chlorine demand is influenced by system design and water cleanliness.

Dosage rates:

  • Potable water typically requires 15 milliliters per cubic meter.
  • Pools and Spas typically require 30 to 50 milliliters per cubic meter.
  • Grey water typically requires 40 to 100 milliliters per cubic meter.

These are nominal dosage rates and should be adjusted based on measured free chlorine results. Test kits from the Potable Water Test Kit range can be used for accurate measurements.
